I did various work for the Mannheim based rock band Texas Funeral. In early 2003, I created the highly dynamic website for the Band featuring database driven tidbits, news, a interactive FAQ system (“Ask the doctor”), photo gallery, MP3 downloads, band biography, guestbook, etc.
The site is backed by a custom built publishing system based on some binarycloud core classes, a component oriented rendering engine and data model objects. It features internationalisation and provides content for german and english speaking visitors.
Design
I also did web and print design jobs for the band including:
- Web site design
- Album artwork
- Flyers and Posters
- T-Shirts, Stickers, etc.
- Band logo (the tribal thing)
- “Marketing” materials
- My part: Development, Design, Production, Interaction Design, Ajax, XHTML/CSS, RDBMS. January 2002 – March 2005
Management
I took responsibility for some general management and booking tasks for the band and gained invaluable experience and insight in the music industry, web marketing, booking, and publicity work.
